02 Jan CAN BREAST AUGMENTATION INCREASE SEXUAL SATISFACTION?
While many feel breast augmentation can be a very gratifying procedure, its effect on sexuality has not been well-defined. A study recently presented at the annual scientific meetng of the American Society of Plastic Surgery reveals that there is a significant boost in both arousal and sexual satisfaction following breast augmentation surgery. In the study, a questionnaire was used at two, four and eighteen months after surgery to determine the impact the procedure had on sexual health. Patients reported a statistically significant increase in both sexual satisfaction and arousal at four and eighteen months following surgery, as compared to pre-operative values. This study indicates that a woman’s satisfaction with her breasts and breast augmentation is directly tied to her femininity and sexuality.
