SECONDARY FACELIFT YIELDS GOOD RESULTS IN COSMETIC SURGERY

A recent paper published in Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery shows that a “secondary facelift” performed an average of ten years after initial facelift surgery, can achieve lasting results and low complication rates.  The patients average 51 years of age at the time of their initial facelift and 60 years at their secondary facelift.  The results of the initial facelift lasted an average of nine years.  The complication rate after secondary factlift was short, five percent, nearly identical of that of initial facelifts.  Dr. Edds is board-certified by the American Board of Facial Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery and has performed facial cosmetic surgery for over thirty years.
